PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
Sports and Fitness Nutrition Specialist Program is a basic entry level program for students to pursue a career in the field of sports and fitness nutrition. This online program is designed to introduce nutrition concepts for field of sports and fitness. The program has been designed to meet the needs of an entry level sports and fitness nutrition specialist. This program will give participants the knowledge of Introduction to Sports Nutrition, Defining and Measuring Energy, Energy Systems and Exercise, Carbohydrates, Proteins, Fats, Water and Electrolytes, Vitamins, Minerals, Diet Planning: Food First, Supplements Second, Weight and Body Composition, Disordered Eating and Exercise Patterns in Athletes, Diet and Exercise for Lifelong Fitness and Health. Numerous activities such as quizzes and practical test and critical thinking activities are available within each module to evaluate the learner’s outcome, these quizzes will give the learner the feedback about their progress into the program as they proceed from one module to another. This online program is designed for learner’s who want to advance their career and are unable to do so, due to their work and person obligations.
